We Want Your Nostalgia
By wavelength ~ Posted Monday, December 14th 2009
Happy Holidays / Season's Greetings / Merry Christmas / Hanukkah / Life Day!
As you may all be aware, in February, just a few short months away, Wavelength is celebrating its 10th Anniversary and 500th show with the 5-night "Wavelength 500" Festival (Feb. 10-14, mark your calendars!), which also marks the end of the weekly Sunday night Wavelength series. Yes, we're wrapping up the weekly after 10 amazing years but we're going to continue
putting on special events and festivals as well as relaunch the series in a new, yet-to-be-determined format.
We are publishing a festival program guide for Wavelength 500 that will also act as a retrospective special edition of the long-lost Wavelength Zine. And so this is a call for content. What we are looking for is:
- short (max 500 word) first-person reminisces
- about the first time you went to Wavelength and what it meant to you at that point in your life
- OR a story about the best / funniest / most awesome / ridiculous / whatever Wavelength you ever attended
- and any fun photos to go along with your story
We'll be publishing some of our favourites in the printed program guide, and the rest will be posted here at Wavelength Headquarters.
The DEADLINE for submissions is MONDAY, JAN. 4, 2010. Send us your blurbs at wavelength[dot]booking[at]gmail[dot]com.
Thanks for ten years of support!
