The Inflation Kills
By wavelength ~ Posted Wednesday, June 1st 2005When Wavelength approached neophyte reporter Trevor Coleman with his interview assignment this month, we were skeptical. But something about last month's bizarre (if entertaining) ramble with local rockers Action Makes convinced us that the rookie needed another crack at the job before we turned him in to the appropriate authorities.
How wrong we were.
Even lining him up with The Inflation Kills, a rock-solid group of veteran Hamiltonians, couldn't coax a decent article out of him.
Thus, it is with deepest regret that we are forced to publish the following 'œinterview,'? the entirety of which appears to have been directly copied and pasted from the comments section of the band's Myspace page (www.myspace.com/theinflationkills ). We have since reassigned this interview to a more emotionally stable reporter and hope to provide you with real words from the band sometime before the show. For the moment, though, we can only recommend that you skip this article and go directly to Myspace where you can hear some of the band's tracks directly and form your own opinion'”which will, quite rightfully, be that the band is awesome.
Thank you, and we apologize again for what is to follow.
Trevor: Hey guys...
*Golden*: Apr 13, 2005 8:25 AM hey, what's up?
Trevor: Not too much, how about you?
nick: Apr 19, 2005 3:59 PM I GOT A JOB.... !!!!!
Trevor: Hey awesome! Way to go! How's it going?
Boss kitty: Apr 11, 2005 5:06 PM [makes thumbs down noise at Phil]
Trevor: Well that's too bad... And who's Phil?
cheerleader 666: Jan 20, 2005 8:57 PM you have nice eyes
Trevor: Well thanks! Or wait, did you mean Phil? I'm confused. What does that have to do with your band?
Tim?! $@&%!!: May 7, 2005 1:39 AM The cd is solid, guys...best purchase I've made in a long time. See you soon.
Trevor: Really, that good eh?
Dino: May 10, 2005 11:57 AM one of the few cds I can listen to from beginning to end without skipping a song.
Trevor: I can dig that. It's hard to find a disc without a shitty song on it.
Chelsea: Apr 18, 2005 11:53 AM i'm getting sick of this. come fucking visit. GOSH!
Trevor: I dunno, I don't think I can make it out to Hamilton soon. And could you watch the language?
Jesse: Apr 14, 2005 10:35 PM you guys are just swell. mighty dandy.
Trevor: Much better!
Boss kitty: Apr 12, 2005 3:00 PM You sick fuck! About half an hour ago I made the thumbs down noise at an audition. One of the directors that was there asked me to make the silliest face I could. I can't do planned spontaneity. To mark my failure, I gave myself the thumbs down + noise. ...It's still never going to be as good as my handshake, though. Reckonize.
Trevor: Hey! Hey! Language again, missy! That was way uncool. If you can't control yourself, let's change the subject. What have you been buying at the record store recently?
Mlle Marcia: Apr 12, 2005 2:26 PM 'Children' among others is Brilliant.
Tried to find the album at Dr. Disc today tho, and it wasn't there... booooo...
whats a gal to do for a little rock n roll?
Trevor: A little rock and roll? Well that's easy, there's some great Wavelength shows coming up, here look at the dates!
