Who doesn't love being pulled in a million different directions at once? For
all of us self-proclaimed walking C + C Music Factories, being in one band
is not nearly enough to satisfy the need to create. In the days of yore when bands were plentiful like ripe maize in a summer field and members were as loose and transient as my undergarments on a summer's eve, the side project was born. But Permafrown is not merely a side project, nor simply the fruit of Pony Da Look's Amy Bowles and her companions, but they are, in fact, the only way to save a princess from an evil spell and free the kingdom. After mistaking a pot brownie for a hunk of BBQ tofu, Matt Thomas quietly slipped copius amounts of mescaline into his grandparents' tea and traveling on the back of pink unicorn slid down a Nutella rainbow where he found Permafrown milling about by an enchanted flying burrito tree.

TELL ME THE HISTORY OF PERMAFROWN. HOW'D YOU ALL MAKE A CONNECTION?
A large chunk of the songs were written within the first few weeks of the conception of Permafrown. We played a few shows as a duo until we recruited drummer Mike Leblanc. We've known each other for awhile.

WHAT IS THE PERSONAL DOGMA OF PERMAFROWN?
Beer, wizened words, the power of suggestion (the greatest power), chants,
chats, and Fortuna (the Roman Godess of chance).

Our audience so far is our friends. We are currently recording an album which we plan to charge ten dollars for. It should be ready in September.
