More Dogs
By wavelength ~ Posted Monday, April 3rd 2006Sometimes music can answer questions that you hadn't even thought to ask. For instance, have you ever wondered what it sounds like when a band of rouge fairies demolish a building? Dory Kornfeld hadn't either, but when she heard the sounds of hammers and pixie dust on the cheerfully cacophonous composition, "Teenage Bunker", it became clear that More Dogs certainly knew. The troupe of boys from Baltimore, MD have recently released an album called Never Let Them Catch You Crying, named so because the fairies don't deal well with tears.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN THE BAND? WHO ARE THEY AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
There are three members in the band: Michael Bouyoucas plays guitars, bass, and organ; Emmanuel Nicolaidis plays drums, organ, and vibraphone; Stephen Santillan plays bass, organ, and vibraphone.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU ALL BEEN DOING THIS?
Five years, now
MORE DOGS THAN WHO?
Surprisingly, we don't have more dogs than anybody. Actually we're the dogs and we're adding to the mess. Sorry.
WHAT KIND OF STAGE ANTICS CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE AT YOUR WAVELENGTH SHOW?
Unfortunately, there is no room in the van for the cannon, hot air balloons, or the mechanical horses, so we just have to play the music. Maybe we'll play musical chairs.
IF YOU WERE TO RELOCATE TO SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN BALTIMORE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Somewhere over the rainbow.
IS THERE ANYTHING SPECIAL YOU'D LIKE PEOPLE TO BRING TO YOUR WAVELENGTH SHOW?
A cannon, hot air balloons, and three mechanical horses.
