Think About Life

Purveyors of: yell-along disco rock

Think About Life are from Shelbyville, I mean, Montreal, and are part of this weird superfriend group/possible punk-house trend where everybody they know is doing something fun. They are Martin Cesar on vocals and keyboard, Graham Van Pelt on keyboard/guitar/backup vocals, Brendan Reed on bass and Matt Shane on drums.
When I interviewed Think About Life, some corporate cutbacks had left me basically fired from my regular gig, so I was in apocalyptic, panicked shock. What better time to lay down the heavy on guys whose band name gives me an itchy existentialist trigger finger? Happily, these nice gents played along, and I even got my job back after a week. Maybe they are magic?

What is love?

Brendan and Matt: Always swirling, swirling, fleeting / pursued and then hucked / temptation, all I ever wanted / baby don’t hurt me / death stars exploding: freed from his helmet: Lord Vader’s eyes / the end of insomnia.

Why are we here?

Brain vasectomy / walk the earth, hurt and forgive, touch and fly and team up and lose it / be excellent to each other / What are we made of? What’s inside us? How does that work? I would ask myself every day as a kid but rarely do now.

What happens when we die?

Our mana force goes to where beasts are merged into two. (shark/eagle, whale/shark, dolphin/bunny, monkey/hawk)

Are we alone in the universe?

No, but we’ll destroy Earth and each other before we see any of the others and pass to where two beasts are merged and try again there I guess; but with no speaking and no thumbs.
