Brigitte

Brigitte

WL 369 - Sunday, June 24 – 10pm
Purveyors of: boy/girl party tunes.

Brigitte are new and titillating, like your friend’s baby sister who grew boobs over the winter and now you’re on the beach together and you can’t come out of the water just yet. You want to make out with her so bad, but you have a girlfriend and your buddy would be really pissed if you tried to touch his little sister’s new boobies. Instead, you make the same mistake Evan Dickson did and try to have a normal conversation.

I used to hate synthesizers, but lately I feel like I hate anything without them. Can you explain what is happening to me? I'm seriously very concerned.

Joel MacMillan: Maybe you are gay... as in happy.
Pat Bramm: I'm worried that that is not a long enough answer. Considering... you know... I'm gay.
Eryk Kokkonen: You know in this space age synthesizers are the only thing that truly capture the cosmos. And I am also slightly gay.

Brigitte sounds like a good party band. Please describe your ideal party in meticulous detail.

Joel: Fondue/fondon't.
Pat: See, for this answer I've decided to agree with fondue/fondon't as a response.
Eryk: I like the parties where the mealworms are rolled up in fat doobies and I am also very slightly gay.

I don't normally like to talk about bands' websites in interviews, but your Myspace background is the coolest I have ever seen. I watched it for almost an hour while I was high. What's the story there? Is there one?

Joel: Mywho?
Pat: I have absolutely nothing to do with this. Joel is king and is typing right now so I don't say anything stupid. All hail Joel!
Eryk: Websiters huh?

How long have you been together as a band and what has been your most interesting (good or bad) gig so far?

Joel: About two years. Long years.
Eryk: 'Roid inspiring years. See when people do these Wavelength interviews they try to do what Joel is doing and I'm just like, “Fuck these guys. Just answer the fucking question."
Pat: I’m also gay. But I mean this is the kind of question where I’d like to answer it
Joel: Fine, two years. Our first show was at the White Orchid with Basement Arms, Reshure, the Great Awake (R.I.P.) and BENGICIAN!

What are your goals as a band?

Eryk: Dig it to the max. To the XXX
Pat: Breakfast and pussy. But I really don't want to have that in print. Maybe we should make that Brian's answer
Joel: But I'm not gay

What band or musician do you hate the most and why?

Eryk: Hate the most? That’s like starting a fire, Maroon 5 buddy.
Pat: Fuck Maroon 5. That new single is off the hook. You can say like any band but Maroon 5.
Joel: Is it getting hot in here.

*Take off clothes and bow.*
