Dance Around In Your Bones
By wavelength ~ Posted Tuesday, October 21st 2008Music and lyrics by Tom Waits, text and dialogue by William S. Burroughs and pure vision by Robert Wilson. What is this amazingness you ask? Why it's only the best German expressionist cabaret rock opera ever imagined: The Black Rider.
Toronto doesn't have theatre like this and it's probably the last time this company will be performing The Black Rider, which is why you should go see it before it ends mid-November. The show features a live multi-instrument playing trio on stage soundtracking the entire performance.
The Black Rider plays at the Tarragon Theatre pretty much every night but Monday but you might want to get advance tickets as it's been selling out most nights.
Seriously, treat yourself with this play. It makes theatre spectacular again.
