Danger Bay is all wrapped up but it didn’t take Jonny Dovercourt very long to form a new act. Hybrid Moments will debut at Terenga on June 27, a collaboration between Jonny and Matt Nish-Lapidus (better known as mn-l in music nerd circles) It’s a guitar/guitar project, the result is what happens when two burma fans get to wander free on the Kensingtonian range and improvise through a lens of spacepunk. I'm excited to see JD unleashed in a Ghostlight-ish improv direction and bright minded superkeen whippersnapper Matt Nish-Lapidus promises to coax and cajole a whole new range of sounds and sensations when they go off-book. Hybrid Moments already have some tracks up here and will make their Kensingtonian debut at Terenga after the screwed up street permit G8 edition of June 27 Pedestrian Sunday. Doors at 9pm. They're on a bill with Children and Wet Nurse and another band TBA (who will it be? would have to be an appropriately named band, hmmm. Brides? Cool Dad?
