Wavelength founder Jonny Dovercourt, new recruit and social media guru Dorice Tepley, and myself are heading up to little ole' Ottawa to take in a few days of the National Arts Centre's Prairie Scene festival. Back in 2009 co-programmer Ryan McLaren and I attended the B.C. Scene festival and got meet some great presenter/producer types from all over world. The 'scene' festivals are a nice mix of music, theatre, culinary arts, film and more focused on a specific area of our wide, wide country. We're driving today so hopefully by the time we get there the festival won't have had all of its funding cut and its doors shuttered.
