The Long Winter begins tonight.... or does it?

If you've paid any attention to the Fucked Up show tonight at the Great Hall (in Toronto), then you may have noticed it's bit more than just "a Fucked Up show." Tonight marks the first installment of the Long Winter series, a new multi-disciplinary revue organized by Toronto's most ambitious punk-rock ensemble, which they describe as "monthly night of immersive and interactive music, installations, visual art, readings, food and dance to help Toronto through the long and cold winter."

Though Fucked Up will be headlining and joined by some great openers including Carmen Elle from Army Girls' new electro-pop band DIANA and school-aged grrl-rockers Unfinished Business, tonight will also feature poetry readings, films and some intriguing art pieces involving the theme of "Imposters." So things may not be what they seem, but this does seem pretty great. Also great is the Pay What You Can cover and the fact that if you can't make it tonight, there are three more scheduled for Dec. 14th, Jan. 11th and Feb. 8th.
