RIP Chris Levoir

Sad news in the Toronto music community this morning, as word spread that Chris Levoir, frontman for The Mark Inside and sound tech at The Great Hall, has passed away. Wavelength's own Adham Ghanem penned some kind words:

It saddens me to hear about Chris Levoir's passing. Thoughts go out to his family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time. Throughout the last two and a half years, I always looked forward to the opportunity of working at The Great Hall Toronto. Not only because the venue and staff are extraordinary, but because I knew I would be working alongside Chris. Whether it be for our own annual Wavelength Music Festival or other large community events (Long Winter, Paper Bag Records 10th anniversary, The Big Sound, LITNO, etc), he was always kind, patient, and exceptional at his job. At the beginning of this year, upon hearing that Do Make Say Think were going to play The Great Hall, he was ecstatic. Like a giddy schoolboy who finally got his wish to mix one band that meant so much to him in high school. I'm glad we were able to give him that before he left us. Working at The Great Hall won't be the same.
