HOW CAMPING WORKS / GETTING YOUR TENT HERE (AND BACK)

GEAR SHUTTLE:

- Vehicles will be available to transport your camping gear from the dock to the festival venue on the island side.

- The Gear Shuttle cannot take passengers, so after loading your gear on the shuttle, you will then walk to the centre, and pick it up when you arrive.

GEAR SHUTTLE SCHEDULE:

Friday, August 9 - 5:45pm, 6:15pm and 7pm ferries to Hanlan’s Point.

Saturday, August 10 - 1:45pm and 2:15pm ferries to Hanlan’s Point.

- Take the Hanlan’s ferry at any of these times, and when you get off the boat, a volunteer will direct you to the Gear Shuttle.

- This will work like a coat check – a tent check, if you will. Give them your gear, and you will get a ticket. You’ll have a walk to the venue, about a 20-minute walk, and your gear will be waiting when you get there. Sign in, show your ticket, get your gear, and a volunteer will show you where to set up. Although feel free to carry your own gear! And be advised, these will be the only ferries where we can provide a Gear Shuttle. You’ll have to hoof it otherwise.

SIGNING IN:

- Once you arrive at the festival site, you will have to sign in.

- Here you will have to sign a waiver, you will get a camping wristband and you’ll be directed by a volunteer where to set up your tent.

CAMPING SPOTS & PRIVILEGES:

- Due to limited space, you will be shown your spot where to camp.

- Spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-come basis.

- Camping is only available if you have a Camping Pass.

- Camping passes are per person – no matter how many people per tent, you will each need a pass.

- Not to be heavy, but if anyone tries to camp overnight without a camping pass, we will have to call security. Uninvited guests will be put on a water taxi back to the mainland at their own expense.

SIGNING OUT:

- Please tear down your site on Sunday before the first band starts at 3:00pm

- We will have tent checks set up, where your gear will remain safe during the show.

- At 10:00pm SHARP the Gear Shuttle will take its load to the Hanlan’s Point ferry.

- Please make your way to Hanlan’s Point to catch the last ferry to the city at 11:15pm.

- Tent check will use the same ticket system as when you checked in, and you will pick up your gear at the ferry dock.

- Last call to get your tent checked for the Gear Shuttle is 9:30pm. Don’t forget your stuff!

A FINAL WORD:

We do our best with this festival to create an atmosphere of respect, inclusiveness, and friendliness. The venue we’re presenting at the home of more than a dozen people, and Toronto Island is home to more than 300 people. It is also Toronto’s largest park, the largest car-free community in North America, and home to a number of rare and indigenous flora and fauna. We greatly appreciate the opportunity afforded to
us to camp and check out great art and listen to some amazing music in one of the most beautiful places in the country. We ask for your help in making ALL CAPS! an experience that’s positive, respectful and memorable for all those involved. Let’s be great to each other this weekend.
