Reconnect with Nat Baldwin at the Monarch

If you caught Nat Baldwin at our WL12 Festival two Februaries back, you'll know that with just his bass, his bow and his voice, he can make a large room like Toronto's Great Hall feel tiny and intimate. Luckily, you'll have the chance to reconnect with Nat as he'll be swinging back through town tomorrow night (Tuesday, Sept. 24) for a repeat Wavelength engagement at a truly intimate room, the lovely main floor of the Monarch on Clinton south of College (across the street from Bitondo's, for the benefit of greasy pepperoni slice lovers). Nat's on tour in support of a new release of old recordings, Dome Branches: The MVP Demos, recorded in 2005-06, around the same time as his main band Dirty Projectors were assembling the amazing New Attitude EP. The show is rounded out by tour-mate Justin Walter, who makes amazing instrumental pieces for obscure electronic instruments and drums, and kicked off by Toronto frenzy-popsters, Omhouse.

If you missed Nat Baldwin at our WL12 Festival two Februaries back, you can thank our good friend Joe S. at Mechanical Forest Sound for sharing this recording of Nat playing "Wasted Again" (a Black Flag reference? you decide) live at that very same gig. But you don't want to miss it this time - tickets are in limited supply, and moving fast.
