Wavelength New Year's Eve: Because it's almost 2016

It might be hard to believe, but in less than two weeks, we'll all have seen The Force Awakens (and will know if Luke turned to the Dark Side, if BB-8 can out-sass R2D2, if Chewbacca will bite the big one, sob).... and in less than four weeks, it will be 2016. The rumours are true: Wavelength will be ringing in our Sweet 16th year with our first-ever New Year's party! We're pulling out all the stops with some of our favourite freakazoids, including Maylee Todd (pictured above) and her aerobics-themed Sweatshop Hop, beatnik jazz-punks The Holy Gasp, psych-pop healers Delta Will, mutant funkmeister Man Made Hill and robot dance band MATROX.

In true WL fashion, this will be an intimate alternative to the usual overblown NYE offerings, taking place in a brand-new pop-up gallery space, the Markham House City Building Lab. Only 100 tickets are available, so get your tickets now and make it a super special party with just your favourite people. New Year's Eve will also double as the opening party for "Wavelength #ICYMI," a remount/reboot of last winter's Wavelength Pop-Up Gallery exhibition, including archival Wavelength posters, photos, videos, and festival artwork.

Get in the mood with our NYE playlist featuring tracks from all the live acts performing - and don't snooze on getting your tickets!
