CAMP WAVELENGTH RETURNS! The chilled-out high-point of last year’s insane Toronto summer music festival season is back for its second edition. Save the Date for August 19-21, 2016, as the weird and wonderful take over the grounds of Artscape Gibraltar Point on Toronto Island. CAMP WAVELENGTH is an intimate, community-based alternative to the usual summer music festival experience, and a weekend staycation getaway like no other. Toronto’s ONLY outdoor music and arts festival that offers overnight camping within city limits, CAMP WAVELENGTH is a surreal slumber party on the blissful shores of Toronto Island.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Presented by Wavelength Music, Toronto’s non-profit, DIY community hub, CAMP WAVELENGTH is seeking the best independent music and the arts from Canada and around the world, to perform and participate at CWL 2016. The curatorial theme of our second edition is “Head in the Clouds.” Get dreamy, hazy, lazy (‘cause it’s summer) - but ambitious: time to pull that long-put-off project out of the drawer, or actually try and pull off that crazy idea you joked about over drinks. They told you needed a reality check: Camp Wavelength is your chance to prove them wrong and invite them on Facebook.

We are seeking submissions from artists in the following disciplines:
• MUSIC
• VISUAL & MEDIA ARTS
• DANCE & PERFORMANCE
• GAMES & ACTIVITIES
• FOOD & OTHER VENDORS
* IMPORTANT NOTE: All projects must work outdoors in both daylight and darkness.

To submit your proposal, please send the following info via EMAIL to contact@wavelengthtoronto.com. Please also include the words “CAMP WAVELENGTH SUBMISSION” and the PROJECT TITLE in the subject line.

Please do NOT send attachments or EPKs. Submissions cannot be accepted via social media.

All submissions will be evaluated and responded to, but due to very limited space, only a small number of submissions will be accepted. All participating artists will be paid an artist fee.
